The Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) is a technical and scientific senior federal institute under the
authority of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour. The profile of BAM is characterised by our mission to promote the
development of the German economy our function as the national chemical and materials technological institute, our guideline safety
and reliability in chemical and materials technologies, our activities:
BAM are a leading technical and scientific institute in the field of digital radiography. They are particularly strong in the development of the technology for industrial uses and the input into European and world specifications and standards. Their interest is in the development of the technology as a tool to determine the safety and operational performance of materials.
