AJAT is a specialised NDT engineering company with 12 full-time employees that designs, develops and manufactures, in house, X-ray
digital imaging cameras.
AJAT founded on 2001, this young company already has strong national and international connections and is located at Espoo, Finland. In Fiscal 2003 ending 8-2003 AJAT had revenues of approx. 400kEuro selling its innovative cameras. It appears that AJAT is today in a unique position worldwide to provide direct conversion X-ray cameras based on CdTe-CMOS technology. The reason for participation is that AJAT wish to maintain the lead position they have built for themselves at a cost level they cannot maintain internally. The dissemination of their technology, particularly in such a large industrial sector, is seen as a huge opportunity. The current situation is that systems have to be demonstrated before they are adopted, and R&D efforts and hence costs are too high to enable SMEs to take a role in this regard. Detector technology developed to this level will result in significant international sales.
