Not only does the inspection crew have to travel to the pipe work to be inspected, it then must take the radiographic
film to be manually developed, and only then can it be analysed. This wastes large amounts of time and hinders
communication.
Using computed radiography, the image of the possible fault appears straight on a computer screen on site. This saves all
the time and cost associated with radiographic film. The images can then be analysed and e.mailed directly to the plant
owner who can then decide what action to take.
